Booking & Payments

Is it safe to book directly through your website?
Yes. All reservations are processed through our secure booking system. When you book directly with Telluride Travel Rentals, you are reserving professionally managed homes with local support before and during your stay.
Why should I book direct?
Booking direct means: Transparent pricing Clear, direct communication Local support during your stay It also allows you to keep more of your travel budget for enjoying Telluride.
Are bookings refundable?
All reservations with Telluride Travel Rentals are non-refundable. Once a booking is confirmed, it cannot be canceled for a refund unless an exception is made at our discretion.
Why are bookings non-refundable?
Telluride is a seasonal destination with limited inventory. Once your dates are booked, the home is removed from availability and held specifically for you. A non-refundable policy allows us to operate a small, carefully maintained collection of homes with transparent pricing. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, especially for winter travel or long-planned trips.
What if something unexpected happens?
We understand that plans can change. While bookings remain non-refundable, guests are always welcome to contact us with questions or special circumstances. Travel insurance is the best way to protect your trip in case of unexpected changes.

Check-in, Check-out & Arrival

What time is check-in and check-out?
Exact times are provided in your confirmation email and pre-arrival instructions.
How do I check in?
All our properties offer self check-in, allowing you to arrive at your convenience, even if you’re arriving late. Before your arrival, you’ll receive detailed check-in instructions, including access information and everything you need to know for a smooth arrival.
Do I need to complete anything before arrival?
Yes. All guests are required to complete a short online check-in form prior to arrival. Once the form is completed, you will receive: Your access code Arrival instructions Important property information This step is essential to ensure secure access and a smooth check-in process.
When will I receive the check-in form?
You will receive the check-in form link after booking, along with your reservation confirmation and pre-arrival emails. We recommend completing the form as soon as possible to avoid any delays in receiving access details.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Early check-in or late check-out may be possible depending on availability and cleaning schedules but cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us in advance if you would like us to check.

Are the apartments professionally cleaned?
Yes. All homes are professionally cleaned between every stay. Cleanliness is a top priority for us. If anything does not meet expectations upon arrival, please contact us right away so we can address it.
Where can I find information about the apartment and house rules?
All important information about your stay — including property details, house rules, and local guidance — is provided in the house manual. Please review the house manual carefully before arrival, as it contains everything you need to know for a comfortable stay. If you have questions after reviewing it, you’re welcome to message us through the booking platform. We are here to help!
Do the apartments match the photos?
Yes. All listings use real photos of the actual property. Furnishings and layouts match what is shown, though minor updates or changes may occur over time.
Are the apartments suitable for families?
Many of our rentals are well suited for families and longer stays. Please review sleeping arrangements and layouts carefully, or reach out if you’d like help choosing the right home.
Do the apartments have kitchens and laundry?

Is Wi-Fi included?

Location, Gondola & Getting Around

Where are your rentals located?
Our rentals are located in: Telluride Town Mountain Village Each location offers a different experience. If you’re unsure which area is right for you, see our Telluride Town vs Mountain Village guide.
Do I need a car?
Not necessarily. Many guests enjoy Telluride without a car thanks to: The free gondola connecting Telluride Town and Mountain Village Walkable areas and local shuttles A car can be useful if you plan to explore beyond Telluride, but it is not required for most stays.
How does the free gondola work?
The free gondola connects Telluride Town, a mid-station, and Mountain Village. Free to use Runs year-round (with seasonal schedules) Scenic and easy to use We recommend checking the current gondola hours before arrival, especially if you plan late dinners or early ski days.

Parking

Is parking included?
Parking availability varies by property and is clearly stated on each listing. What should I know about parking in Telluride Town?
Telluride Town is very walkable, but parking can be limited, especially during the Ski season and Summer festivals and events. Public parking is available, but restrictions and fees may apply. Many guests choose to limit car use once they arrive.
What about parking in Mountain Village?
Mountain Village properties often offer structured parking garages, assigned or valet parking (depending on the building). Mountain Village is designed to be easy to navigate without driving, particularly during ski season.

Skiing & Seasons

Are your rentals ski-in / ski-out?
Some rentals offer true ski-in / ski-out or immediate lift access, primarily in Mountain Village.
When is the busiest time to visit?
Peak seasons include: Winter: ski season Summer: festivals and outdoor activities Shoulder seasons are generally quieter and may offer more availability.
